The 60p eye shadows

5/30/2018
Lets face it- we all love a good bargain now and again, especially when it comes to make up. So when I saw these eye shadows in Primark for 60p (YES that's 60 PENCE!) I just couldn't resist.

I decided to just buy 2, thinking that they would probably be a bit crap, but I'm actually quite impressed. Now obviously I wasn't expecting them to be on the same quality level as my Anastasia palettes but I wasn't expecting them to be as good as they are. I definitely need to go and pick up some more shades to try, but the ones I got are:

The lighter shade is a gorgeous shimmery champagne and looks really pretty on the lid and inner corners of the eye. It is also quite pigmented! The brown shade is not quite as pigmented though, and at first I thought I probably wouldn't use it, but of course I had to try. Once I applied it in my crease I realised that despite it not being the most pigmented eye shadow in the world, it is actually really nice for a light transition shade in the crease- and that's exactly what I picked that shade for in the first place! :)

If you like the look of these, and want to try some for yourself, just head int your nearest Primark store and find them in the beauty section.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette

5/29/2018
One palette that I don't get much use out of- but totally should, is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism. Although I absolutely love this palette, I tend to reach for other palettes instead because most days im kinda boring and just go for a neutral eye. (Even though you can definitely create a lovely neutral look with this palette!)

Prism has so many beautiful colours though, and is so versatile. You can easily create a trusty old neutral eye or something more dramatic and colourful if you fancy! My favourite shade is sphere. It's a gorgeous bright yellow and looks stunning on the eye. Below is an eye look that I did using only the Prism palette, and I love it. The yellow (sphere) gives my eyes such a gorgeous pop of colour!

As with all Anastasia Beverly Hills Palettes, the formula is great! It's easy to blend, very pigmented- a little goes a long way, and the colours are beautiful. I also love the packaging of the ABH palettes as they always feel well made and strong which is a plus for anyone that takes their palettes with them when they travel. It also comes with a very handy (and good) brush! The only down side to this palette is that sometimes there can be some fall out, but if you do your eyes before the rest of your face this shouldn't be a problem.

Get the Prism palette now from www.beautybay.com for £43 (well worth the money!)

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Foundation Sticks

5/28/2018
I've been thinking about trying a stick foundation for the longest time after seeing endless reviews and tutorials all over Instagram and You Tube, however not only did I not know which to go for but up until now I've never found any that were in the more 'affordable' price bracket- i.e. drugstore!

The Revolution Fast Base Foundation sticks come in at only £5 each and can be purchased in Superdrug (instore or online) or online at https://www.revolutionbeauty.com/en/gb/Home.aspx

They come in 18 different shades with a variety of undertones, so hopefully most people would be able to find their perfect match. This is great for a low price drugstore product because as you may have already noticed, cheaper brands unfortunately don't tend to stock many shades, especially darker colours. So Revolution is really nailing it on the diversity and the inclusion aspect of their products.

I bought 3 shades; F2 which is light with yellow undertones, F6 is light (but a few shades darker) with yellow undertones, and F13 which is a for darker skin tones with warm undertones. I tend to need different shades depending on the time of year and how tan I am. F2 matches my skin perfectly when it is at it's palest, but it feels a little too light for me at the moment, so I warm my face up with the F13 shade which I use as a bronzer/ contour on my cheeks and around the perimeter of my face. F6 also matches me perfectly when I'm slightly less pale, and I have also tried the 2 & 6 mixed together which is also lovely on me.

The foundation applies lovely. It is so quick and easy to use- blends out beautifully and fast, and looks great on my skin! The formula is very creamy which makes it glide onto the skin, blends easily and the coverage is medium- but buildable to full.

Unfortunately, my skin gets quite oily in the T-zone with some foundations, and it does with this one. But I find that it is fine for everyday use and I can control with oil with blotting sheets and a little bit of powder. However for this reason I wouldn't choose to wear this if I wanted my makeup to look flawless for a long time and didn't want to keep checking my make up in the mirror.

Overall, I do really like this foundation and it has recently become a staple in my makeup bag. I would recommend trying it, especially as it is only £5!

I hope this has been helpful for you. If you would like to purchase online you can buy them here: Fast Base - available in 18 shades
